Another brilliant post Tim, thanks for that. I find it reassuring also to know there are at least some conventional scientists beginning to question what we have been calling progress over the last 50 years or so.

Personally I think the next disruptor will not be so much an invention, or even a discovery, but a realisation.

We will realise that for the past 50 years or so, we have been drawing in the walls of a kind of cage, an economic cage built on profit and debt currency, which locks us into consuming more and more of our environment, and even one another, we are literally feeding on the stored energy of our own species and environment, and yet we don’t have to.

We will realise the Grand Energy Ponzi, and what appears to be its antidote; solar powered proof-of-work tokens.

The outcome of that might be the biggest and perhaps most sudden change towards progress we’ve ever seen in the history of humanity, I think.

Exciting times, surely.
