Andrew, thanks for your response, but “Not true” implies I spoke an untruth.

Maybe you misinterpreted my question. Let’s try it another way:

Why do we not see more ordinary people on the street protesting Brexit one way or the other?

If they felt more strongly about it, they would be mass activating. But they are not.

It appears to be only the establishment that feels strongly about it, always to remain.

Why is this?

My guess would be, if ordinary people really felt Europe had given them something to lose, they would be more positive about supporting it.

I think most people’s perception in UK of what Europe has really given them personally, is austerity.

But that is just my guess. An opinion.
