Amps, need to be multiplied by Volts, to give Watts, so no. Amps is like volume of fluid flow, whereas Volts is like pressure of fluid flow. In all cases, power (Watts) is the product of both, and it's a function of time (1 Watt = 1 joule of energy per second). Whereas energy is the power integrated over time, removing the time dependence.
Its energy we need to know, to calculate what can be done with it any time. Joules convert directly to KWhrs.
