Ami thanks for posting. I too have been writing about this for some time, having seen the problem coming since around 2017. You might find it discouraging in Medium to be maybe seemingly shadow blocked. I am too. Medium is a tough nut to crack, when it comes to the anti profit message. I believe this might be because most of us still need to keep a foot in the profit seeking camp, so we still have professional interests in Medium, so we are wary (Me not so much now), of making contacts or following stories likely to detract from our money makers, whatever those might be 😜

And of course the platform algos work against us, as they do on all platforms for profit.
Anyway the main focus of my own stories are various views of an overall systems engineering analysis of the energy and ecology system of humanity, and the only, solution, which is to move to wholly solar power. Folk tend to either love or hate that message, but either way it has to happen or we are done as a species, as surely as a chicken that didn’t manage to peck out of its egg.
I approach this in exactly the same way as I do my contract systems engineering assignments, which I have done for various clients over the years (My main "Bread and butter", which has put food on my table, and kept the roof over my head).
I use the same formal model based systems engineering tools and enterprise architectural tools and techniques as I’ve "successfully" applied to world scale military and banking type systems for almost twenty years, to analyse the system of humanity, free of charge, at my own expense.
I see that as far more important than any assignment I ever did professionally, especially after seeing its prognosis.
In short we are just like the chicken faced with the task of pecking its way out of its egg mentioned earlier, or perhaps a human baby, newly born, but still umbilically connected, and yet to draw its first full gasp of air.

First of all, we need to understand the task, in the case of the chicken, to break out of the egg, in the case of the human baby, to draw the first breath of air, and in our case, to connect to the sun.

We might say that nature is already cutting the umbilical cord, with the apoearance of covid, and heatdomes together. Those are new, very immediate, catastrophic phenomena that we really can’t ignore.
The chaos we are seeing, both in the environment, and in the economy, and of course in all of politics, is something like we might imagine we would see amongst the cells and organs of the body of the chicken or human during the trauma of being born into the wider world.
Survival of our species is by no means a certainty. What is certain is that we must connect to the only real source of energy, and that is the sun, without further delay.
There are some signs this is actually starting to happen, under the radar of most people.
I believe it is our duty to the species to make sure we do everything we can towards making it happen.
Afterwards, the world will be a very different place from what we have known up until then.
Exciting times, we should feel lucky we are alive to see this happen, though there will be some collateral damage, we can never rule ourselves out individually from becoming victims, the vast majority of us will look back on the years prior as the real dark ages, I believe.
For now, we just need to safely negotiate the transition from being Earth powered, to solar powered, then the real possibilities open up for our species.
Something very apparent, is that most business for profit will disappear in the new world, it just isn’t possible to continue in the old mode of all things at profit.
That affects an awful lot of human business, including such things as banks, and national defence industries (My bread and butter!).
