All of that noise is exactly the arguments used by us Boomers, to create the problems we are seeing.
I am telling you this, as someone who worked in electrical utilities not directly with nuclear, but alongside some of the senior heros of nuclear, almost thirty years ago, progressing to a patented, chartered Engineer myself. I still work, as a Sytems Engineer in Aerospace. So your figures don’t impress me. I am a historical patentee of the planar transformers used in inverters btw. I had a lot of respect for the senior folk involved back then. They did what they thought was right, and boy did they make some money.
Now they are all retired, or dead, along with all of the facilities they created, and now I am a senior, and I am telling you nuclear was a big mistake.

It might work for a country that does it under government funding, but it is never a profit making business. The heros get rich, everyone else is saddled with an unmamageable, toxic mess.

Most of those sites are still military areas, where "Research" is still being carried out. They are not truly decommissioned, there is no resaearch going on, but it costs less to just keep a few guards aroumd, to stop the public from getting too curious, than to actually dispose of.
You want more of that?
Go ahead dude, fill your boots.

You didn’t actually respond to any of my information.

Solar has no *footprint”, it is the definition of energy from off planet, the only real source of energy.

Everything used to derive energy created by nature on Earth, from sunlight, including nuclear fuel, is fuel, which is not energy.

Don’t you get it? Pollution, is dead capital, created by decreating nature. The longer it took for nature to create, the more deadly the pollution is, in decreating it.

Splitting atoms only kills people, it has no human enhancing properties whatsoever.

You can choose to destroy all that nature created, or you can choose to create.

The only way to create, truly create, is to use the same eneargy source as nature uses, the sun.

Nature, and the energy of the sun will have its way, no matter how much you try to ignore it.

The planet is burning, because the wrong decisions were made in the past.

You want it to burn more? keep making the wrong decisions.
