All interesting, thanks for posting Avi. But look, something really fundamental is coming out of the woodwork, despite some recent black swan events being more or less suppressed, because they can't be made sense of, without blowing an ancient secret wide open - the energy lie of profit.
What I mean by that is elaborated in this response to another mainstream scientific figure:
We've got so into keeping that secret, originally imposed on us by the most brutal of low-brow humans in history, maybe the first ever slavers, that we have lost sight of how much it has affected the way we think, by imposing all kinds of artificial limits on things, we've tried to make every infinity finite, so as to commodify all things including knowledge, and what this has done over time is to steadily reduce the collective intelligence, as well as the physical value of the world, by pushing the latter into an existential, unstable state, steadily desertifying it throughout.
The argument that this is normal, natural evolution is coming to breaking point now that we are seeing utilities energy prices start go negative, in France, after seeing oil prices first go negative the only time so far in 2020. That trend is set to carry on, more and more we will see this, energy prices going negative, and its actually really significant.
We should maybe view black swan events as glitches like the sightings of the black cat in the matrix movie, they show us just for a microsecond, a glimpse outside the world of Enshittopia we created for ourselves, before we immediately patch it up with more enshittification, in our minds.
Anyhow, where this looks relevant to ETs, to me, is, if we accept the massive statistical likeliehood they are out there, and we accept therefore they are likely far more advanced / evolved than us, then they have to have some codes of galactic civilisation, as are needed for intelligent life of any kind to survive, so it follows massive statistical likeliehood that we are already descended from them in some way, per Sitchin et al speculation, and they will have experienced all the things we are experiencing, including the brief, physically unsustainable, planet destroying fascination / fixation with the energy lie of profit
So in our current state, we would be socially unacceptable to them.
They would know the existentially threatening poison it is, to get caught up in the energy lie of profit.
They would avoid us like the plague, and they would have the sophistication to do that effectively without ever having to physically leave, because they might still be interested in our development, us being descended from them, you know?
Perhaps, after we've ditched the energy lying, they will be more inclined to come out, with welcoming arms outstretched.
I hope so.
