To get off the planet in any sustainable way will require all of humanity united, as does the other pre-requisite of fixing the the environmental problems here.

A few entrepreneurs on an antiquated rocket isn’t going to cut it, unfortunately.

That means the end of profit.

Otherwise we continue removing all of the progress we’ve seen in the past towards interplanetary and supersonic flight, flight itself, and even the internet.

The solution is a pretty big story, for the whole of humanity, the end of the economy of scarcity we’ve known for our known history, and the beginning of a new solar powered thrust for the stars.

Shouldn’t that be written about first?
