Ade you are so close to seeing the whole truth here, but there is something very different this time, in the "War" between the haves and have-nots. The haves always won in history, and this might make us expect they could win again, and some of them might even be in a mind to do exactly what you say, Farage is a good example, but something he is missing also, is the fact that the planet has started burning, and the global temperature is rising more rapidly now than it ever did before - we've had the highest month to month temperatures ever recorded now for more than the past twelve months. This is what is very different now, there is no temperature margin left for a physical war, if such a war is ever started, its the end of the planet for all of us.
To me, tracing the system through now using all the skills I gained at the top end of systems Engineering in the for-profit system, it looks like profit is the culprit of all the problems. It is at its heart an energy lie, and an injustice we were forced to accept a long time ago, by traumatisation, including genocides and humans being nailed to crosses etc. "You will do what we say, or else", was the message, and this has been feared and perpetuated throughout the ages. It has resulted in a very harmful, anti-environment emergent property associated with us, like the power that fiendishly controls and coordinates swarming ants, only instead of just food, we hoover up all energy, via money which is energy, always. This has put us on an inevitable collision course with nature, when the only thing traumatising us to learn lessons should have been nature, which should have been the thing that kicked us into shape. Instead we've taken a very unnatural trajectory for maybe the past few thousand years, which is nothing in the overall history of humanity, we never heated the planet before, but we obviously do now, and this is what needs to be changed, can only be changed by truth. Now we know truth / lies are physically related to the temperature rise, the universe always had the ultimate lie detector, it puts the temperature of the planet up, for lies, and down, for truth.
I think we are almost onto this whole truth, as a species, it seems very close now, and when this is realised, we will see some very sudden changes that make a huge difference for the better, because they should know, the folk with big ambitions to have power in an ever more fragmented society, that it will not happen this time, nothing will be achieved by yet more aggression, more brutality, more war, the annihilation of the worker ants, annihilating one another, it won't work this time, the planet will end first, taking them with it.
Common sense will come around, hang tight :)
