actually, thinking more about it, the curve reflecting life as it might look after we successfully make the transition from negative energy to positive, would look like the opposite of the curve you've shown, in terms of energy availability to us, it would look like your curve turned upside down. There would be a downward facing bump, instead of the upward facing one you've selected, and there would be a ramp leading up to this, with a maximum before the brief depression we are in, around the seventies (When we had concorde and the space shuttle), and a steep drop into the energy availability depression we are currently seeing, and then an even steeper rise back to where the treand line to increasing energy availaility would continue, the upward part triggered by issue of solar indexed stimulus, flattening off to a constant, at the point when our population would have reached a plateau of equilibrium.

The plateau should be thousands of times higher than all the levels seen previously, because this is the difference between before / after energy levels available to things before / after birth.

Think how much more energy you have available to you now, than what you had available when you were still umbilical connected, or how much more energy is available to a plant after it forms leaves, and you start to see how it could and actually should be, I think.
