Actually, apologies, I just noticed you already commented on the solar installation story, not accepting what was presented there. I can only conclude that maybe you are happy with the status quo, to not wish to see it changed.

A final thought exercise I will try, see if you like it;

If we look at humanity as an organism, it appears to have been unborn until about now.

Like a chicken in an egg, feeding from the yolk in the egg, or a human embryo, feeding from the placenta connected by umbilical cord.

Earth appears to be our placenta, or our yolk, it has supplied all our energy needs to date.

But that stored energy has now all but run out, it is time we pecked our way out of the egg, or gasped our first breath of air, which is the energy of our environment, sunlight.

If we don't we are done.

One thing is for sure, nature is cutting the umbilical cord, whether we breathe or not.
