Absolutely. A physical communications system law that folk would do well to remember is Metcalfe's law, that states the value of any network to humanity is proportional to the square of the number of users.

Removing users, and communities of users reduces network value, that is the value to all of humanity, where all of humanity decides the value.

So all of the do-gooders with the best will in the world cannot do any good at all by removing nodes, under any circumstances, there can be no excuses or exceptions to that. Folk advocating otherwise need to rise above their emotions to see that clearly.
