A problem we have to also acknowledge is the part played by propaganda and misinformation, even on seemingly unrelated things, the effect it has on plausibility of all things physical is very real.

I see many "Intelligent" folk in Medium succumbing to misinformation around the Ukraine war for example. We see much of this in Medium, with not much to counter it, since pretty much all voices "From the other side" have been cancelled, in every Western platform.

It is interesting to me how some good folks I've had discussions with, who previously understood the concepts of "Kardashev Money", and the part it has to play in the way ahead of a sustainable, even prosperous humanity, for example, now have done 180 degree turns, back towards disbelieving the physical facts, and are now again back to believing we are all doomed, so why not just have a war, we might as well, since we need to have some kind of cull.

I hate to be the one saying it, but we should recognise that there is a definite systemic connection between doomerism, and war-mongering.

I believe that the effect of allowing ourselves to be forced to lose our grip of some realities, maybe enduring some perceived humiliation in the process, makes it all the easier for us to lose our grip of all reality.

Do many people realise that actually, East and West are the biggest, most dangerous social bubbles ever?

We should look to the forces creating that, and question them, it seems to me.
